9th August 2026

CANWIN Phase 2

The Indian Dental Association, Attingal Branch successfully conducted CANWIN Phase 2 - Training Programme on Oral Cancer Diagnosis, Detection & Biopsy on 9th August 2026 at Lions Club, Attingal.

The session was led by eminent speakers: 
- Dr. Priya Thomas - Professor, Dept. of Oral Pathology, Annoor Dental College
- Dr. Sankar Jayaram - Asst. Prof. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Azzezia Dental College & Consultant, PRS Hospital Trivandrum  
- Dr. Rani Mol P - Consultant Oral Medicine, Ananthapuri Hospitals

The programme included a hands-on session on Punch Biopsy and biopsy kits were distributed to all participants.

We sincerely thank all participants and resource persons for making the event a grand success.

7th August 2026

Dental Checkup Camp and Oral Cancer Screening

The CDH Wing of Indian Dental Association, Attingal Branch conducted a Dental Checkup Camp and Oral Cancer Screening for the tribal community of Kannancodu Colony, Peringamala in association with Tribal Mission India on 7th August 2026.  

A total of 61 people were examined during the camp.  
The camp was led by Dr. Subramony, Dr. Rakhee Rakesh, and Dr. Nehra.

Dental Checkup Camp

The CDH Wing of Indian Dental Association, Attingal Branch conducted a Dental Checkup Camp for the students of LMS L.P. School, Puthenchantha, Varkala. A total of 138 students were examined as part of the camp.  
Dr. Arun S took an awareness session for the students on brushing techniques and the importance of oral hygiene also distributed oral hygiene kit for the students
Dr. Rakhee Rakesh, Dr. Vasudevan Vinay, Dr. Arun Roy, Dr. Thaufina H, Dr. Arun S, Dr. Devika, and Dr. Ashiq Mohammed attended the camp.

5th August 2026

Dental Checkup Camp

The CDH Wing of Indian Dental Association, Attingal Branch conducted a School Dental Health Programme and Dental Checkup Camp for the students of Kunnuvaram U.P. School, Attingalon 5th August 2026. A total of 206 students were examined as part of the camp.  
Dr. Vasudevan Vinay, Dr. Thaufina H, Dr. Priyalekshmi, and Dr. Ashiq Mohammed attended the programme and supported the initiative.

Oral Hygiene Day

The CDH Wing of Indian Dental Association, Attingal Branch observed Oral Hygiene Day with the inmates of Karunalayam Old Age Home, Attingal. As part of the program, a Oral Hygiene Day and distribution of oral hygiene kits was conducted on 1st August 2026,SatardayDr. Rakhee Rakesh and Dr. Thaufina H attended the programme

Colouring Competition

The CDH Wing of Indian Dental Association, Attingal Branch conducted a Colouring Competition for school children at FirstCry Intellitots Preschool and Day Care, Vetturoad, Kazhakuttam. Along with the competition, a Dental Checkup and Awareness Session on Oral Hygiene was also organized.
The session was taken by Dr. Ranjana Ravindran, which was highly entertaining and engaging for the toddlers.Dr. Rakhee Rakesh, Dr. Thaufina H, and Dr. Lakshmi also attended and supported the program.

World No Tobacco Day

Indian Dental Association Attingal branch hosted IDA kerala state world no tobacco day observation at Lions club, AttingalThe programme was inagurated by Smt OS Ambika MLA

On the same occasion awareness poster release on Tobacco usage and its ill effects on oral health was released by Smt OS Ambika MLA

IDA Attingal Branch CDH wing's special project IDA SHWAS was launched, Formation of Tobacco cessation Cell in Association with RCC and National tobacco control programme.
Followed by Sessions by Dr Jayakrishnan R, RCC and Dr Manu, consultant pulmonologist, NTCP was taken

Dental Awareness Bus Campaign

On 31st May 2026, IDA Attingal Branch launched a dental awareness campaign in association with KSRTC. Dental awareness posters were displayed on 3 sides of a KSRTC bus for public outreach over a period of one month. The bus was officially flagged off at the KSRTC Bus Stand, Attingal.

Community Dental Clinic Visit

The CDH Wing of IDA Attingal Branch visited our Active Community Dental Clinic at Snehatheeram Charitable Society, Mithrmala, where necessary dental treatment and care were provided to the inmates.

Dental Awareness Programme

IDA Attingal Branch CDH wing successfully conducted Dental Awareness Programme for CDS members of Kudumbasree, Chadayamangalam Grama Panchayat @ Chadayamangalam Panchayat Community Hall, where 36 CDS members participated.
Dr Reena Rahim took the awareness class.
Dr Rakhee Rakesh, Dr Ajas A, Dr Thaufina H attended the programme.

Dental checkup camp

The CDH wing successfully conducted a dental awareness class for ASHA workers at Family Health Centre, Panayara, Varkala. 33 ASHA workers participated. The session was led by Dr. Ranjana Ravindran, with Dr. Thaufina H also attending the programme.

CDH wing of IDA Attingal distributed dental awareness slogan hats to Pongala devotees today 3rd march 2026 at various venues in Attingal and Trivandrum. The programme was commenced by distributing to Srimati Priya and Advocate Thaha, Councilors of Attingal Municipality.

IDA Attingal branch CDH wing observed World Cancer dayOn February 4th 2026,by distributing Oral Cancer Awareness posters to public at various venues, Mr M Pradeep, Municipal Chairperson inaugurated the programme.

IDA Attingal Branch CDH wing celebrated Republic Day and did charity programme (Donation of sanitary essentials and provisions) for the inmates of Dr Ambedkar Memorial Rehabilitation Centre, Kodumon, Attingal.
